BEFORE YOUR ADVENTURE

WHAT TO
BRING.

Come ready for the beach.
We’ll handle the fishing gear.

We guide year-round along the Alabama and Florida Gulf Coast, so what you bring may change with the season. A little preparation goes a long way toward keeping your crew comfortable all night.

🎣
YOU DO NOT NEED TO BRING FISHING GEAR.

We provide the rods, reels, tackle, bait and fishing setup included with your adventure.

SETTLE IN

MAKE YOURSELF
COMFORTABLE.

Shark fishing from the sand includes plenty of time enjoying the beach while the baits soak. Bring whatever helps your family settle in and enjoy the night.

🪑

BEACH CHAIRS

Bring a chair for everyone who wants a comfortable place to sit while we wait on the rods.

🏖️

TOWELS

Handy for swimming, sandy feet, wet kids or simply cleaning up before heading home.

⛱️

SHADE

Canopies and umbrellas are welcome when the beach and current local rules allow them.

🔦

FLASHLIGHTS

Flashlights are welcome. During sea turtle season, keep unnecessary lighting to a minimum.

💧

FOOD + HYDRATION

BRING MORE WATER
THAN YOU THINK.

Gulf Coast heat and humidity can sneak up on you, especially during summer trips.

🥤 DRINKS

Bring plenty for everyone in your group.

💧 WATER

Stay hydrated throughout the adventure.

🧊 COOLER

A small beach cooler makes everything easier.

NO GLASS ON THE BEACH.

Pack drinks and snacks in beach-safe containers.

IMPORTANT BEFORE YOUR TRIP

DON'T FORGET
YOUR LICENSE.

The state we are fishing in determines which license your group needs.

ANGLERS AGE 16+

Guests age 16 and older should have the appropriate state saltwater fishing license unless a state exemption applies. Children under 16 are generally exempt from the standard recreational saltwater fishing license requirement.

FISHING FOR SHARKS IN FLORIDA?

Florida anglers age 16 and older targeting sharks from shore also need the free Shore-Based Shark Fishing Permit.

Not sure which state we're fishing?
Check with your guide before purchasing your license.

RESPECT THE COAST

LEAVE ONLY
FOOTPRINTS.

We want the beach to look just as good when we leave as it did when we arrived.

🗑️

BRING A TRASH BAG

Pack out your group's trash. Nothing gets left behind when the adventure is over.

🚫

NO GLASS

Leave glass bottles and containers at the house. Use beach-safe containers instead.

🐢

SEA TURTLE AWARENESS

During nesting season, minimize unnecessary lights on the beach. If a flashlight is needed, use turtle-friendly lighting whenever possible and never disturb turtles or nests.

🐕

BRINGING YOUR DOG?

Dog rules vary depending on the beach. Ask your guide before the trip to make sure the location is dog-friendly.
